Tony-Winning Play Stereophonic to Continue with West End Debut and U.S. National Tour

The critically acclaimed and Tony Award-winning play Stereophonic is nearing the end of its Broadway run at the John Golden Theatre, with its final performance scheduled for January 12. But as its time on the Great White Way comes to an end, this wonderful play begins in style. In the coming months, Stereophonic will take its talents to London’s West End and out of the US. tours across the country.



Throughout its Broadway run, Stereophonic made an indelible mark, earning the most Tony nominations for a single play. It went on to win five prestigious Tony Awards, including Best Play, Best Director (Daniel Aukin), Best Actor (Will Brill), and Technical Awards for Scenic Design by David Zinn and Sound Design a Ryan Rumery did add


Set in the 1970s, Stereophonic immerses the audience in the roaring rock band while recording a new album. The play explores the highs and lows of the creative process, presenting the tensions and excitement that can lead to the breakup or eventual dissolution of a band

Written via David Adjmi and directed by using Daniel Aukin, Stereophonic capabilities song by way of Will Butler, former member of Arcade Fire, whose previous work at the 2013 film Her earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Score. Before its Broadway debut, Stereophonic premiered Off-Broadway at Playwrights Horizons in October 2023, wherein it prolonged its run because of overwhelming call for.

The Broadway cast includes Benjamin Anthony Anderson, Tony Award winner Will Brill, Andrew Butler, Amy Forsyth, Eli Gelb, Rebecca Naomi Jones, and Chris Stack. Brill, Butler, Gelb, and Stack have been with the display for the reason that its global most useful.


After its Broadway finale, the play will head to London, in which it's going to begin its West End run at the Duke of York’s Theatre in May 2025.
