Ed Sheeran Achieves Eighth Number 1 Album with +–=÷× (Tour Collection)

Ed Sheeran scored his eighth No. 1 album with +–=÷× (Tour Collection), marking an important milestone in his career. The album, which debuted in October 2024, climbed seven spots to the top in its 14th week on the chart. The increase came after the album was released on vinyl, helping to boost the official vinyl album charts. It also claims No. 1 in official record shops, reflecting its popularity in the UK independent recording scene.



+–=÷× (Tour Collection) features a compilation of popular songs from Ed Sheeran’s previous chart-topping albums and performances. The collection includes songs from + (2011), X (2014), ÷ (2017), No.6 Collaborations Project (2019), = (2021), and his most recent album - (2023). ) Fans can now enjoy Sheeran's incredible music in a new live format , adding another layer to his impressive catalog.

The rest of the top 5 are not very strong. Sabrina Carpenter's Short N' Sweet holds steady in the No. 1 spot. 2, followed by SZA SOS at No. 2; 3. Chappell Roan’s The Rise And Fall Of A Midwest Princess are no. 4, while Charli XCX BRAT comes in at No. 4. 5. This album is all part of the Top 2024 greatest album releases in the UK.


ABBA’s timeless ABBA Gold is climbing back into the Top 20, benefiting from a new spotlight following a special episode of Gavin & Stacey: The Finale, which aired on Christmas Day.



Additionally, other albums made huge gains this week. Olivia Rodrigo’s albums GUTS and SOUR return to the Top 20 at ages 18 and 20. Benson Boone’s debut album Fireworks & Rollerblades jumps 12 spots to No. 1. 36, and in 2024 his compilation hit Calvin Harris’ 96 Months jumps 15 places to No. 36. 38
