Sphere Entertainment is set to expand their global reach by announcing a new venue in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
In partnership with the Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi (DCT), 20,000 people will be recruited in the second phase, which will reflect the new design and technology of the initial round in Las Vegas, launched in 2022 in the 19th century

“This partnership complements our Tourism Strategy 2030, and positions Abu Dhabi as a dynamic hub of culture and innovation,” Mubarak said. “By hosting unprecedented entertainment at the Sphere and elsewhere, we are increasing our international appeal and elevating immersive cultural experiences.”
Events and concerts are planned throughout the year around Abu Dhabi.

The $2.3 billion building features an impressive array of floor-to-ceiling LED screens and 170,000 highly directional speakers, making it the largest circular space on the planet, designed to deliver entertainment which will be unparalleled
U2 were the first to grace the stage with concert seating, followed by other well-known acts such as Phish, Dead & Company and The Eagles. It also made its sporting debut at the Riyadh Season Noche UFC earlier this year, earning the UFC a record-breaking amount.
When Sphere Entertainment was considering setting up in London, talks were halted after the mayor expressed opposition. However, Dolan mentioned ongoing discussions and “international markets” about possible future locations.
