Mark your calendar: The Broadway musical “Suffs,” created by Shaina Taub, will take its final bow on January 5, 2025 at the Music Box Theatre. The show will entertain audiences with previews of 24 and 301 regulars on the show.
Producers Jill Furman and Rachel Sussman shared their heartfelt gratitude, “It was such an honor to bring the suffragists’ story to the stage Thank you to our incredible cast and crew, especially in today’s political climate.
When it premiered in April 2023, “Suffs” received immediate praise for its powerful portrayal of women’s suffrage. Co-created by influential Hillary Clinton and Malala Yousafzai, the film includes notable performances, including Tony Award winner Nikki M. Aquino. James Ida b.
Shaina Taub not only wrote Alice Paul the book as well as the score, and she won two 2024 Tony Awards for her contributions. In all, the production received six Tony nominations, highlighting its impact on Broadway.
Although the Broadway chapter has ended, fans can look forward to a national tour beginning in the fall of 2025 at Seattle’s 5th Avenue Theatre, with more details to be revealed soon
