Anne Hathaway has confirmed that The Princess Diaries 3 is officially shooting at Disney, much to the excitement of fans. In the clip, Hathaway playfully shouts “Shut up!”. moments from both The Princess Diaries (2001) and The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement (2004), before it was revealed that a third installment of the project was in the works.

Hathaway captioned the post, “Miracles happen,” adding “Back to Xenovia,” hinting at her return to the role of Princess Mia. The film will be directed by Joyride’s Adele Lim, although plot details remain under wraps.

Based on the novels of Meg Cabot, the Princess Diaries series follows Mia Thermopolis, a teenager who discovers that she is the heir to the throne of Genovia. Hathaway's return to the iconic role comes with a lot of excitement, especially after a 20-year gap since the last film.
