Allison Russell to Make Broadway Debut in ‘Hadestown’ This November

Grammy Award-winning artist Allison Russell is set to make her highly anticipated Broadway debut in the acclaimed musical “Hadestown.”

Since Nov. Oct. 12, Russell steps into the role of Persephone at the Walter Kerr Theatre, following fellow Grammy nominee Yola, whose final performance is scheduled for Oct. 12. 20. Meanwhile, former actress Lana Gordon will reprise her role on the show Oct. 22-Nov.

“I am proud to be a member of the sister community of artists to the body of Persephone and to be a part of this unique group. This is the world I have dreamed of, and now I get to live in it. I am so excited and grateful to be saying ‘Haddestown.’ We will be looking down on you!”

“Hadestown,” originally conceived as a stage concert by Anais Mitchell, has become a critically acclaimed and widely acclaimed musical and directed by Rachel Chavkin, won eight Tony Awards in it’s good too.

“Hadestown” also includes Jordan Fisher as Orpheus, Stephanie Mills as Hermes, Philip Boykin as Hades and Maia Reficco as Eurydice.
