Cristiano Ronaldo aims for a record as Portugal plays the Czech Republic in EURO 2024.

The Portuguese great was instrumental in helping his team to victory in the 2016 Championship and made a huge historical contribution. His leadership abilities and deft on-field play proved to be the decisive elements that helped Portugal win the championship, creating a momentous event that left a lasting impression on the supporters and cemented his place in football history.

Cristiano Ronaldo's Euro 2024 adventure will get underway on Tuesday when Portugal plays the Czech Republic in the tournament's first game at Leipzig, Germany's Red Bull Arena.
Ronaldo, 39, who participated in every Euro tournament from 2004 to 2020 and won it in 2016 as well as making it to the final in 2004, will be making an appearance in his sixth event.

Ronaldo would be the first player in the competition's history to score at the age of 39 or older if he can find the back of the net against Czechia.

Five oldest goalscorers in Euro history

Ivica Vastic, Australia (38y 257d)

Goran Pandev, North Macedonia (37y, 322d)

Zoltan Gera, Hungary (37y 62d)

Gareth McAuley, North Ireland (36y, 194d)

Cristiano Ronaldo, Potugal (36y, 183d)

He will make history tonight when he takes the field, as he will be the first player to feature in six separate editions of Euros.
Ronaldo, 39, is already the leading goal scorer in Euro history with 14 goals in the competition's history, and he will be keen to add to that total with a goal tonight.

Ronaldo will have playmakers like Bernardo Silva and Bruno Fernandes at his disposal. The five-time Champions League champion is the favorite to score today since he is playing well and has already scored 44 goals in 45 games with Al-Nassr this season.
